Editorial...

So where did the summer go? I don't remember seeing any real lengthy days of sun since April. Another washout!! This hasn't stopped scooter events being well attended and thats a credit to all the mile munching scooterists out there.

We've recently hit a conundrum. The publisher of the Lambretta Bible wants to reprint it. I have no issue with that BUT if the book is reprinted then I want it to be different to the previous one. New pictures, some new chapters and some text re-working. Now, coupled with that is the fact that I have re-started work on my 2nd book, which I'm now more than engrossed with. So, where do we go from here? I reckon the reprint could be done but again it'll eat into time I want to spend on the 2nd book. Decisions, decisions!

The number of scooters being authenticated seems to have tailed off slightly - recession or simply a lack of scooters left? You decide. We are still turning letters round in 7-14 days, sometimes quicker than that! Depends when we receive the applications really.

Project wise we've spent our time building up some spares and parts for the Vega as we fancy doing something with that. Ideally we'd like to have it done for Bridlington but thats probably a tall order so we're aiming for Coventry next year as out target. Talking of 2012 this will see the Luna Owners Club 10th Anniversary so plans are afoot for that one. Watch this space.

The pub challenge has been started, though a blow out due to a wrecked 2 week old inner tube put paid to me doing more than one county in a day - but thats another story. Doesn't mean I've knocked it on the head, just means more planning!

That's all for now, hopefully we'll see some of you out and this season. Keep on keepin' on!
