INFO CORNER: J RANGE & LUNA LINE SCOOTERS

Luna Line Introduction:

A letter from Maurice Knight (Group Sales Manager for Lambretta Concessionaires) dated 5th November 1968 notes the arrival of the Luna line machines. The letter is interesting on two fronts, firstly because it states that Lambretta Concessionaires were looking to import the Lui 50 from March/April 1969 - though as we know this never happened. Secondly because it details the frame and engine numbers of the first Vega and Cometa scooters that were consigned to the UK. The details being as follows:

Vega: First frame no: 650310, engine no. 650191

Cometa: First frame no: 650016, engine no. 65010
