Italian Frame Info...

Note: This list is not exhaustive and anomalies do exist out there in the world of Lambretta, so please use this list as a guide only!

Series 1:

  • Li 125: Frame - 125Li* followed by numbers starting from 500,001 - Engine: 125Li* followed by numbers starting from 500,001
  • Li 150: Frame - 150Li* followed by numbers starting from 500,001 - Engine: Li150 or 150Li* followed by numbers starting from 500,001.

*Note: Information has been found that shows that some of the engine numbers started with a 7. Also the frame prefixes have been found to be stamped either Li150 or 150Li.

  • TV 175: Frame: 175TV* with numbers starting at 01,000 - Engine: No info known at this time

Series 2:

  • Li 125: Frame: 125Li* followed by numbers starting from 700,001 - Engine: 125Li* followed by numbers starting from 700,001

* NOTE: In 1961 a batch of Series 2 Li 125's were made which have a frame number anomalie. These machines have frame numbers starting with a 3

  • Li 150: Frame: 150Li* followed by numbers starting from 800,001 - Engine: 150Li* followed by numbers starting from 800,001
  • TV 175: Frame: 175TV2* with numbers starting from 100,001 (changing mid production to numbers starting 200,001) - Engine: 175TV/2* with numbers starting at 100,001 and changing to 200,001 mid production.

Series 3:

  • Li 125: Frame: Either 125Li or 125Li3* followed by numbers starting from 000,001 - Engine: 125Li* followed by numbers starting from 000,001
  • Li 150: Frame: 150Li3* followed by numbers starting from 600,001 - Engine: 150Li* followed by numbers starting from 600,001

*Note: The Li 150 engine numbers go up into the 700,001 range and confusion can arise as the Li 150 Special engines also feature within that number range.

  • TV 175: Frame: 175TV3* followed by numbers starting from 500,001 - Engine: 175TV/2* followed by numbers starting from 500,001
  • TV 200: Frame: TV3* followed by numbers starting at 512*** - Engine: TV/2* followed by numbers starting at 512***

*Note: The TV 175's and TV 200's were built in batches and it is impossible to say exactly which number sequences were allocated to each machine.

  • Li 125 Special: Frame: 125LiS* followed by numbers starting from 850,001 - Engine: 125LiS* followed by numbers starting at 850,001
  • Li 150 Special: Frame: 150LiS* followed by numbers starting at 200,001 - Engine: 150Li* followed by numbers starting at 700,001

*Note: See the note above in respect of the Series 3 Li 150 engine numbers.

  • SX 150: Frame: SX150* followed by numbers starting at 750,001 - Engine: SX150* followed by numbers starting at 750,001
  • SX 200: Frame: SX200* followed by numbers starting at 830,001 - Engine: SX200* followed by numbers starting at 830,001
  • GP 125: Frame: 22/1* followed by numbers starting at 001,001 - Engine: 125LiS* followed by numbers starting at 001,001
  • GP 150: Frame: 22/0* followed by numbers starting at 200,001 - Engine: SX150* followed by numbers starting at 200,001
  • GP 200: Frame: 22/2* followed by numbers starting at 250,001 - Engine: SX200* followed by numbers starting at 250,001
